UITIOT (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”) respects and protects your personal information and privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when providing the megaSCENE smart lighting control system (the website www.uitiot.com and the megaSCENE APP).
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: the account and credentials you create in the megaSCENE APP are stored only on the MAC13x application controller or the MSM111 lighting management system within your local network, and are never uploaded to our servers;
- Device information: the model and OS version of the device running the APP (for compatibility and troubleshooting), processed only within your local network;
- LAN communication: control commands from the APP to DALI lighting devices on your local network stay local and are never uploaded to our servers;
- OTA update checks: the APP periodically contacts update.uitiot.com to query firmware/app version information; such requests carry the product-line identifier (GTIN) and device model only — no personal identity information.
2. How We Use Information
- Solely to provide you with smart lighting control, device management and firmware upgrade services;
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third-party advertisers;
- We do not use it for purposes unrelated to the services above.
3. Storage and Security
- Your account and system configuration data reside solely on the MAC13x application controller or the MSM111 lighting management system within your local network, under your own control, and are never uploaded to our servers;
- Our website and firmware distribution servers are located in Beijing, China (Alibaba Cloud); necessary communications such as OTA version queries are encrypted with TLS end to end;
- Firmware distribution interfaces use signature verification and access control to prevent tampering.
4. Your Rights
You may access, correct or delete the account and configuration data stored on your local-network devices at any time within the APP. If you need assistance, contact us via the details at the bottom of this page; we will respond within 15 business days.
5. Security of the OTA Update Mechanism
- Firmware and app update packages are published by our signed release server; the APP verifies integrity and version (CRC32) before installation;
- Update interfaces accept queries from legitimate product lines only; anomalous requests are uniformly rejected.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us for deletion.
